In a crisis, the legal side stays coordinated.

When something goes wrong, I coordinate the legal side across the boards, regulators, insurers, and specialists who all get pulled in at once.

I’ll tell you when you don’t need me.

If something’s simpler handled another way, I’ll say so.

About

Outside General Counsel

I’m a transactional lawyer and general counsel. My work is mostly corporate and commercial: governance and equity, note financings and cap-table cleanup, and the contracts a company runs on.

I also handle contracts and real property work for a nonprofit with a large real estate portfolio. On the client side, I serve as outside general counsel for a small number of companies at a time, nationwide. I’m licensed in Hawaii, and when a matter needs locally admitted or litigation counsel, I bring in the right specialist.
